I Belive that journalism helps make the world a better place, because it connects us.

Thanks to journalism we can know what is happening everywhere on the planet, no matter the language we speak.

When there is journalism well done, and with the main objective of reporting it helps our society too much, and the society is the best informed from the truth. 

It helps us to know realities that we just didn't know existed, and to show us how difficult some realities are. 

To not lived locked in our bubble and learn to look with critical eye every thing they show us. 

Connection is fundamental in a globalized world, and journalism, through news, radio and all its ways of reporting finally connect us. 

I like this major, because I want to help tell the stories that are hidden today.

  Hello! Another day another blog...I fell that since I was born technology has always been part of my life. From a very young age I had cell phones and I always remember watching Disney movies on TV. I fell like this was a huge advantage, but also something very difficult to cope with if not handled well.  My favorite piece of technology, I think is my cell phone. It's what I use the most every day and I really love being able to stay connected all day and know what's going on with my close people and the rest of the world.  Even thought this is an advantage, it has also led me to have problems as I became completely addicted to the cell phone and I speak seriously! Academic Challenges 2021

I think we have all faced very similar challenges these years. But the most difficult was to completely change my routine and have classes completely  online these two years, and being “locked up” all this time with my family at home.  Having to enter my first year of university, in a online class completely change my plans really. Personally, it has been very difficult for me to generate relationship with people from the university.  But having to get up late for classes and being alone in my room at the end, has also given me comfort. But I think my teaching is not being complete I think, and I realized it when I went to face to face classes. In a single class, I learned much more than these two years online. i´m just Kidding... I am Scarleth Rivano, i was born in Santiago de Chile. I'm 20 now, but in June I´ll be 21. All my life I have lived in Santiago, and although I love cities, I fell that is so common to be born and live here, that is nothing entertaining to tell about where I am from.  Well I study journalism at the university of Chile, Something I always wanted. And my biggest dream is to live in New York, I really love that city. That's why at the beginning of the post I put a small reference to one of my favorite series, Gossip girl and I also love Friends.  At the moment I live with my mom, my younger sister and my grandparents.
